GREEN GOES BLUE AT ASR

Surfrider Foundation and project BLUE to Booth at Action Sports Retailer Show

San Diego, CA (January 23, 2008) – For the first time ever, retailers and other industry members attending the upcoming Action Sports Retailers event will have an opportunity to see and experience the consolidated line for project BLUE.

One of the breakout buzz brands of the year in 2007, project BLUE united six different companies, including Billabong, Reef, O’Neill, Nixon, Electric Visual and DAKINE, to produce special limited edition product under the project BLUE initiative. A portion of proceeds from the sales of each project BLUE item is then donated to the Surfrider Foundation to assist them in their efforts to protect and preserve coastal and marine environments.

“We are definitely psyched to be partnered with project BLUE,” says Matt McClain, Surfrider Foundation’s Director of Marketing. “This gives consumers an easy way to support our oceans, waves and beaches, simply by buying cool gear by the top names in surf apparel and accessories.”

Visitors to the project BLUE booth will be able to not only learn more about project BLUE, they will also have the opportunity to preview some of the new project BLUE product slated for release in 2008.

“This industry-wide campaign is an on-ramp to millions of consumers and thousands of retailers to support environmental initiatives launched by the Surfrider Foundation,” says Vipe Desai, Founder of project BLUE and President of Propaganda Headquarters, Inc. “This is a great opportunity for retailers to carry great sellable product and help the planet at the same time.”

Retailers are invited to stop by booth #1312 and learn how to support project BLUE.
